Well there are a few pirated versions of good software such as Screenflow Personally I use this for my mac as it is an editor and a recorder
(Refer back to my original statement if you want to know how I got it)

If you are looking for a recorder then use OBS as you can Steam, Record, and change file output but if you're looking for a recorder then you're stuck with iMovie! Unless you want to pirate something of cause! (Not recommended Could potentially land you in jail or you could get a virus)
